12 Asanas of Christmas- Day 3

Triangle Pose

Line the arch of your forward facing foot with the heel of your out-turned foot. Extend arms out to each side of you, while looking forward. Reach the arm on the same side as your out-turned foot far out to that side. When you can reach no farther, drop your hand down to your shin, ankle, or the floor. Gaze downward or up to the sky. Hold for 30-60 sec then switch sides. You should feel the stretch not only in your hamstring, but also in your side. The leg that is being lengthened should be flexed. Do not bend into the knee joint. If you feel any pain, adjust your position, or bring your hand up higher on your leg.


Luke 2: 9-12

 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
